Frequently asked questions

Answers for families, in plain language.

Starting ABA can feel like a lot. Here are the questions we hear most, and if you don't see yours, we're always happy to talk it through.

Getting started
How do I get started with Veridian?+

It begins with a short intake form. From there, our team verifies your insurance benefits, answers your questions, and schedules an initial consultation and assessment with a BCBA. We keep the process warm and unhurried.

What happens during the initial assessment?+

A BCBA spends time getting to know your child and family, observing, talking with you about your priorities, and completing a structured assessment. The result is a clear, individualized picture of your child's strengths and goals.

What ages do you work with?+

We work with children and adolescents across a range of ages. If you're unsure whether ABA is the right fit for your child, reach out, we're glad to talk it through with no obligation.

How soon can therapy begin?+

Timelines vary based on assessment and insurance authorization, but as a boutique practice we work to keep waits short and communication frequent, so you're never left wondering what's next.

Insurance & cost
Do you accept insurance?+

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans and verify your specific benefits before care begins, so you know what to expect. Share your provider on the intake form and we'll take it from there.

How much does ABA therapy cost?+

For most families, ABA is covered by insurance, and out-of-pocket cost depends on your individual plan. We'll walk you through your benefits and any expected costs clearly and up front, no surprises.

Do you offer private pay?+

We do. If you prefer not to use insurance, or your plan isn't a fit, private-pay options are available. Reach out and we'll discuss what works best for your family.

Our services & approach
What exactly is ABA therapy?+

Applied Behavior Analysis is an evidence-based approach that helps children build meaningful skills, communication, social connection, daily living, and more, by understanding how behavior works and teaching in supportive, individualized ways.

Where does therapy take place?+

Wherever your child learns best, in the home, at school, and in the community. Meeting children in their real environments is how we help skills take root and generalize.

How involved are parents and caregivers?+

Deeply. You are your child's most important teacher, so parent coaching and collaboration are built into every program. Progress made in session is designed to carry into everyday family life.

Working with Veridian
What makes Veridian different?+

We're intentionally small. Being BCBA-owned with low caseloads means clinical quality is never diluted, and families are known by name, not treated as case numbers.

How do you measure progress?+

Every program is data-informed. We track meaningful, individualized goals and review them regularly with you, adjusting the plan as your child grows, measurement in service of the child, never the other way around.

What areas do you serve?+

We proudly serve families throughout Pinellas County and the greater Tampa Bay area, in the home, school, and community settings across the region.

Still have a question?

We'd rather talk than leave you guessing. Reach out and a real member of our team will get back to you personally.
